Already awarded the ISO14001 standard for it's environmental policies and procedures, Headley Brothers was proud to announce in January '07 that the company had reduced the amount of waste sent to landfill from 34 skips in 2002 down to just 10 in 2006.
Sue Gray, Environmental Co-ordinator said, "We are delighted that in the relatively short time period of just 4 years that we been able to reduce the amount of waste we send to landfill so significantly. This achievement demonstrates how committed and proactive our staff are in implementing the policies outlined in the company's environmental management system. Our aim for the future is to reduce our landfill waste further still by better separation and finding new markets for the waste".
